How my Service Works

One perk of being a fisherman who catches and fillets the exact fish you eat is that it's very easy to explain how my service works––you proerder one of my four seasonal catches before the fishing season, I catch it, fillet it, vac seal it, and ship it to your door after the fishing season. Here's how to preorder in 3 easy steps:

1. Do you want to preorder from one seasonal catch, two, or all four? 

Spring Catch 
Preorder period: Jan. 1 - March 11
Ship/delivery date: May 14 - 18, 2018
Species: Halibut, sablefish (Sometimes cod, snapper, or lingcod, depending on catch)

Summer Catch
Preorder period: Jan. 1 - July 1
Ship/delivery date: Oct. 1 - 5, 2018
Species: Sockeye salmon, king salmon, smoked salmon, halibut, sablefish

Christmas Catch
Preorder period: Jan. 1 - Nov. 11
Ship/delivery date: Dec. 10 - 14, 2018 (In time for a seafood Christmas feast, or a gift!)
Species: King crab, sockeye salmon, king salmon, smoked salmon, halibut, sablefish

Winter Catch (No Winter Catch shipment in 2018)
Preorder period: Jan. 1, 2019 - Feb. 24, 2019
Ship/delivery date: March 18 - 22, 2019
Species: The last of the 2018 catch. Species announced Jan. 1 2019.

2. Select your seafood and checkout.

Choose the seasonal catches that are right for you then preorder one or all. You can choose your species, the cut, and your pin bone preference. Just remember to create and pay for each seasonal catch separately. For example, if you'd like both the Spring and Summer Catch, choose your spring species then complete the order and pay. Then create a new order for your Summer Catch, complete and pay.

3. Sit back while I go fishing. I'll deliver your seafood to your door when the fishing season is over.

I will email you about a month before your scheduled shipment, then again a few days before shipping with your FedEx tracking number.

 


    MY "YOU'RE COMPLETELY COVERED NO MATTER WHAT" POLICY
    If you have a problem of any kind, I'm there for you. Short of customer negligence, I'll work with you to make just about any issue right.  If a shipment is lost in transit, no need to hassle with FedEx. Just let me know and I'll send you a replacement. If I made a mistake in your order, I'll feel terrible and quickly ask how I can fix it––whether that's a credit for the future or a replacement order. Because my policy is based on common sense and is trust-based, I rely on all parties acting in good faith.

    WHAT'S A "SHARE"?
    I presell my catch by the Share. It's about 10 lbs. I'm always shooting for 10 lbs. but a Share can be anywhere from 9.5-10.5 lbs. One Share is the minimum total order and one Share is also the minimum per species. So, if you'd like more than one species in your order, add two or more Shares.
